How Our Interest Groups Work
At RLYNN KIDS, campers don’t just attend camp; they help shape their day.
We believe kids thrive when they have choice, voice, and opportunities to explore what genuinely excites them. That’s why our Interest Groups are designed around flexibility, creativity, and movement.
Every Day, Every Camper Has Choice
Each interest group rotation includes three types of options, so every child can engage in ways that fit their personality, energy level, and interests.

Every group includes a movement-based option.
This might be:

A team sport like volleyball, pickleball, basketball, flag football, ultimate frisbee, soccer, and more.

Art
Campers will unleash their creativity through various art projects, exploring different mediums and techniques under the guidance of experienced instructors. This activity is designed to foster artistic expression and build confidence in personal creativity.

Face Painting
Campers will learn face painting techniques, using safe, washable paints to create everything from simple designs to elaborate masks. It's a fantastic way to spark imagination and playfulness.
Step Dance
Campers will learn the rhythmic and energetic movements of step dance, an engaging form of dance that combines coordination, rhythm, and teamwork. It's a great way for campers to develop musicality and physical fitness.
Felting
This unique craft activity introduces campers to the art of felting, where they'll learn how to transform wool into colorful, textured crafts. This hands-on session encourages fine motor skills and artistic expression.
Pottery & Plaster
This fun-filled program invites young artists to dive into sculpting with clay and plaster They'll learn exciting techniques like casting and throwing while making new friends and expressing their artistic flair. Join us for a summer of imagination and hands-on art exploration!
Drama
In our drama sessions, campers will dive into the exciting world of theater arts. Guided by experienced instructors, they will explore a range of dramatic techniques including improvisation, script reading, character development, and stage presence.


Cooking
One of our most popular camp options is our Cooking Interest Group!
This hands-on experience is perfect for campers who love to mix, create, and taste their own delicious creations. Most of our recipes are no-bake, making it safe, accessible, and fun for all ages.
Outdoor Cooking
This activity takes cooking to the great outdoors, where campers will learn to prepare meals over a campfire or portable stoves. They'll master the basics of outdoor meal prep, safety, and nutrition while enjoying the food they make.
Bracelet Making
Campers will craft their own bracelets using various materials and techniques. This creative activity allows for personal expression and the development of fine motor skills.
Skipping
This exciting activity introduces campers to the of skipping, teaching techniques from basic jumps to advanced maneuvers like double-unders. Led by energetic instructors, sessions include fun challenges and games that enhance coordination, agility, and cardiovascular, keeping campers engaged and active while they enjoy themselves!
Hiking
Exploring nature trails, campers will learn about local flora and fauna, basic orienteering, and environmental conservation. It's a wonderful way for campers to connect with nature and build endurance

Flag Football
This non-contact version of football is perfect for campers to learn the game's fundamentals while ensuring a safe and fun environment. They'll practice throwing, catching, and running plays.

Volleyball
This team sport activity will focus on the fundamentals of volleyball, including serving, passing, setting, and spiking. Campers will enjoy friendly competition while enhancing their teamwork and communication skills
Basketball
Campers will develop their basketball skills, learning dribbling, shooting, and defensive strategies. This activity promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and perseverance.
Soccer
Focusing on skills such as dribbling, passing, and shooting, campers will engage in soccer drills and games. It's a great way to improve coordination, teamwork, and sportsmanship

Watercolor
With brushes in hand, campers will explore the fluid and translucent qualities of watercolors. They'll learn various techniques to create serene landscapes, vibrant portraits, and abstract compositions
Hula Hoop
Experience the exciting world of hula hooping! Campers will master skills from basic waist hooping to more advanced tricks. Each session boosts coordination, rhythm, and flexibility, while building fitness and confidence. This fun group activity encourages creativity and a sense of achievement for campers.
Mountain Biking
Campers will hit the trails on mountain bikes, learning about bike safety, trail etiquette, and basic repair skills. This thrilling activity also offers a great way to explore the natural beauty of the camp surroundings.

Builders
Builders Group: In the Builders Group, campers will engage their creativity and engineering skills by constructing projects from a variety of materials, including wood, LEGO, and recyclables. Guided by experienced instructors, they will learn basic building techniques, tool safety, and the principles of design and architecture. Each session encourages problem-solving and teamwork as campers plan and execute their creations. This hands-on activity not only fosters a deeper understanding of how things are made but also empowers campers to bring their imaginative ideas to life in a supportive environment.
